In the lead-up to the UN Climate Conference in Paris, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel launched the We Are Paris platform to engage students, employees, alumni, stakeholders and partners to contribute to the debate about the future of our planet.  The key goals of this initiative are to cultivate sudents into conscious citizens that actively contribute to a more sustainable environment and to invite policy makers to invest in needed measures to sustain earth for generations to come.

We Are Paris wants to put forward a positive message by focusing on the role of the active citizen.  In a recent interview, Cornelia Dinca of Sustainable Amsterdam explains what makes the Amsterdam households sustainable.  The answer focuses on quality of everyday life for residents, because this is ultimately what sustainability is about.
